Member Special Projects

Goal To provide funding support for a member project which furthers the mission of Washington State NAPNAP.

Eligible Applicants
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner member in good standing of Washington State NAPNAP

Award: $500

Application Requirements Please address the following in your application:
1. Statement of the problem or health issue.
2. Specific aims or goals of the project or research and how they relate to the mission of the organization.
3. Methodology or project process; target or study population, data collection process
4. Clinical or theoretical applications of project or thesis.
5. Planned use of funds.
6. Timeline for completion.
7. Key supporting references.

Application Instructions
Include a primary cover page with the title of the project, the applicant’s name and contact information. On a second cover page include the title only. Applicant identifying information should appear only on the primary cover page and in no other locations in the document.
The body of the application in which the requirements should be addressed can be no longer than 3 pages, 12 point font, single spaced with 1” margins.
The documentation may arrive as a hard copy with the application or by e-mail addressed to the Washington State NAPNAP president and with the words “NAPNAP Member Special Project” in the subject line.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Please indicate if project funding is needed by a specific date. Effort will be made by the executive committee to respond to the application by the specified date, but that cannot be guarenteed. The executive committee recommends applying for funds well ahead of anticipated deadlines.

Special Projects Review Criteria
Application will be reviewed by the executive committee. The cover page with the applicant’s identifying information will be separated from the application before being distributed to the reviewers. In addition to the application requirements, a project will be judged on the basis of its feasibility and unique contribution to the achievement of the organization’s mission.

Expectation of the special project winner
Publish a brief summary of the project in the WA State NAPNAP newsletter and presentation at the Spring Conference.
