I. Promote legislation leading to the prevention of childhood overweight and obesity, and advocate for strategies to promote healthy nutrition and physical activity levels throughout childhood.
II. Promote access to comprehensive health care for children including children with special health care needs and advocate for improved access to comprehensive preventive health care services.
III. Promote awareness and recognition of mental health and emotional problems in children and adolescents in all health care settings, and advocate for legislation for improved access to mental health services.
IV. Promote legislation to remove barriers to Advanced Practice Registered Nursing in all health care settings. Oppose exclusive language limiting the scope of practice for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
V.Promote funding for Advanced Practice Registered Nursing education and the development of nursing faculty.
